Just    a    few    miles    past    the    historic    Presbyterian    Church    in    Denmark    sits    Britton    Lane    Battle- field,    the    site    of    Madison    County’s    only    Civil    War    battle.        The    area    contains    a    restored    log    cabin,    which    was    used    as    a    hospital    during    the    battle.        Several    monuments    and    a    mass    confederate    grave    are    also    located    at    Britton    Lane.
